Dynastes grantii is known as the Western Hercules beetle. They originate from Arizona and are the biggest beetle species in the U.S. Their size and white coloration make them a popular beetle among hobbyists.
Primarily feeds on rotten hardwood or flake soil.
Beetle larvae go through 3 different larval phases: L1, L2, and L3. After the L3 stage, the larva pupates to turn into an adult beetle!
