Megasoma elephas is a gentle giant that originates from Central America. Although its horns aren’t as impressive as the Hercules beetle, this species is one of the heaviest beetle in the world. Their golden body hair and long legs make them a very attractive species to keep.
Primarily feeds on rotten hardwood or flake soil.
Beetle larvae go through 3 different larval phases: L1, L2, and L3. After the L3 stage, the larva pupates to turn into an adult beetle!
