Chalcosoma atlas hesperus originates from Philippines. They are characterized by their elytra’s metallic sheen and the presence of three elongated horns on their head. This is the most popular atlas beetle subspecies because they can get up to 110mm in length.
Primarily feeds on rotten hardwood or flake soil.
Beetle larvae go through 3 different larval phases: L1, L2, and L3. After the L3 stage, the larva pupates to turn into an adult beetle!
