ADULTS: Antaeus stag beetle

Dorcus antaeus is species of stag beetle native to Northern India. It is characterized by its thick and curved mandibles and glossy black body coloration in males. When provided with appropriate care, these beetles have the potential to live up to 3 years, which is notably lengthy for stag beetles.

Feeds on beetle jelly and non-citrus fruits such as bananas and apples.
